Privacy Policy for Breathe
Effective date: 11 July 2026
App name: Breathe Bundle ID: com.kirsulab.breathe Publisher: KirsuLab LLC Contact: hello@kirsulab.com
This policy explains what Breathe collects and why. In short: we do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, or location, and there are no ads and no account. Your breathing practice stays on your device. We use Google Firebase to collect anonymous usage analytics and crash reports that help us understand how the app is used and fix bugs.
1. Data stored only on your device
The following stays locally on your phone and is removed when you uninstall:
- Settings — theme, orb color, sound and haptic preferences.
- Practice history — session dates, durations, chosen breathing techniques, and your breath-hold times. These power your streaks and statistics and never leave the device.
- Safety confirmation — a local record that you accepted the power-breathing safety briefing.
2. Analytics and crash reporting (Firebase)
Breathe uses two Google Firebase services, which send data to Google (acting as our service provider):
- Firebase Analytics — collects anonymous, aggregated usage data: in-app events (for example, that a session was started or finished and which technique was chosen), a randomly generated app-instance identifier, your device model and operating-system version, app version, language, and a coarse region derived from your IP address (the IP address itself is not stored by us).
- Firebase Crashlytics — when the app crashes, it collects a diagnostic crash report: the stack trace, device state at the time (model, OS version, memory, app version), and a randomly generated installation identifier.
This data is not linked to your real-world identity, is not sold, and is not used for advertising — there are no ads in Breathe. It is processed by Google in accordance with Google's privacy and security terms (see Google's Firebase privacy documentation and Google Privacy Policy).
3. Purchases
The optional one-time "Breathe Pro" purchase is processed entirely by Apple App Store (StoreKit). We do not receive or store your payment details. Google's handling of your data is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.
4. Permissions
Breathe requests no sensitive permissions: no location, no camera, no microphone, no contacts. Internet access is used only for the Firebase analytics and crash reports described above and for Google Play purchases. Vibration is used only for the gentle breathing haptics.
5. Health data
Breathe does not collect, transmit, or store any health data off your device. Your practice history and breath-hold times exist only in the app's local storage. Breathe is a wellness tool, not a medical device — see the Terms of Use & Health Disclaimer.
6. Data retention and your choices
Analytics and crash data are retained by Google/Firebase according to our project's retention settings and Google's policies, and are used only in aggregate to improve the app. To request deletion of crash/analytics data associated with your device, contact us at the address below.
7. Children's privacy
Breathe is a general-audience app and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not collect names, emails, or precise location from anyone.
8. Data sharing and selling
We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. The only recipient is Google (Firebase and Google Play), which processes data on our behalf as described above.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
