Privacy Policy for Conduit
Effective date: 14 July 2026
App name: Conduit Bundle identifier: app.conduit.mac Platform: macOS Publisher: KirsuLab LLC Contact: hello@kirsulab.com
Conduit is a file manager for Android devices that runs on your Mac. It is built to do its job without collecting anything about you. This policy explains, plainly, what that means.
1. The short version
Conduit collects no personal data at all. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no crash reporting. Nothing you do in the app is sent to KirsuLab or to any third party. Everything happens locally, between your Mac and your own device.
2. How Conduit works
Conduit communicates with your Android device through adb (Android Debug Bridge), either over a USB cable or over your local Wi-Fi network. Browsing folders, copying files to your Mac, uploading files to the phone, previewing, searching and deleting are all performed directly between the two devices you own. Your files are never uploaded to us or to the cloud.
3. Information we do not collect
- We do not ask for your name, email address, or any account. Conduit has no sign-in.
- We do not collect analytics or usage statistics.
- We do not use advertising or any advertising identifiers.
- We do not collect crash reports or diagnostics.
- We do not access, transmit, or store the contents of your files. Files you copy or move are handled locally on your Mac by macOS itself.
- Conduit contains no third-party tracking or advertising SDKs.
4. Network connections
Conduit does not connect to KirsuLab servers, and has no servers to connect to. The only network activity is:
- Local device communication — traffic between your Mac and your Android device over USB or your local Wi-Fi network (via adb). For wireless pairing, Conduit uses your Mac's built-in local network discovery (Bonjour) to find the device on your own network. This traffic stays on your local network.
- Links you choose to open — if you tap "Support Conduit on Ko‑fi" or the link to Google's platform-tools download page, your default web browser opens that page. Conduit does not open these on its own, and those third-party sites have their own privacy policies.
5. Files and permissions
- When you copy files from the device or upload files to it, macOS shows you a standard save/open panel. Conduit only reads and writes the files and folders you choose.
- Conduit does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or location.
6. Data retention and deletion
Because Conduit collects and transmits no personal data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf. The app's own preferences (such as the location of adb) are stored locally on your Mac and are removed when you delete the app.
7. Children
Conduit is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
8. Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page with a new effective date.
