Privacy Policy for Tessera (iOS)

This Privacy Policy describes how KirsuLab LLC ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the iOS version of the mobile game Tessera (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store.

1. Information We Collect

The App does not require an account. Your game progress and settings are stored only on your device. We do not operate our own servers and do not collect or store your personal information ourselves.

To understand aggregate usage and diagnose crashes, the App uses Google Firebase (see Section 2). The iOS version of Tessera does not display advertisements.

2. Analytics and Crash Reporting

The App uses Google Firebase services provided by Google LLC:

  • Firebase Analytics — collects aggregate, non-identifying usage data such as app opens, screens viewed, gameplay events (e.g., a game started or completed), session length, and general device information (model, iOS version, language, and region derived from IP address).
  • Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash and diagnostic data (crash stack traces, app version, device model, iOS version, and device state at the time of a crash) so we can fix problems.

This data is used in aggregate to improve the App. It is not linked to your identity, and we do not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites. The iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA) is not used. Data collected through Firebase is processed by Google under its policies:

3. In-App Purchases

Tessera is free to try for a number of games, after which a single one-time purchase ("Unlock") removes the limit and gives unlimited play. There are no subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; we do not receive or store your payment details. Apple may provide us limited transaction data needed to deliver and restore your purchase, handled under Apple's privacy policy.

4. Your Choices

Where required by law (for example, in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland under the GDPR, or in certain US states):

  • Tessera does not track you across apps and does not use the IDFA. You can manage app-tracking permissions in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

5. Children

The App is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, please contact us and we will assist in addressing the issue.

6. Permissions and Device Access

  • Network access — used for analytics and crash reporting, and to process in-app purchases.
  • Haptics (vibration) — used for tactile feedback during gameplay.

The App does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, photos, or files.

7. Data Retention and Security

We do not retain personal data ourselves. Data collected by Google Firebase is retained and secured according to Google's policies linked above.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
