Privacy Policy for Cubora
Effective date: 23 June 2026
App name: Cubora Package name: com.kirsulab.cubora Publisher: KirsuLab LLC Contact: hello@kirsulab.com
This policy explains what the Cubora mobile game (the "App") handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. You can play the whole game offline. The only online feature — the optional daily global tournament — uses an anonymous account with no email or password. The App also includes Google AdMob (advertising) and Google Firebase (analytics and crash reporting), which automatically collect limited technical data as described below.
1. Information we do not collect
- The App has no sign-up or login — we never ask for your real name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
- Your game progress, scores, theme choice, and settings are stored locally on your device and are removed when you uninstall the App.
- We do not collect your precise location, photos, files, or any financial or health information.
- The only personal detail you can provide is an optional nickname for the leaderboard (see section 2).
2. Daily tournament and global leaderboard (optional)
If you play the daily challenge, the App submits your result to a worldwide leaderboard. If you never play the daily challenge, none of the information in this section leaves your device. For this feature the App uses:
- An anonymous account (Firebase Anonymous Authentication) — a random ID created on your device. It has no email, password, or real-world identity, and is used only to keep one entry per player per day.
- A nickname — the name you choose to appear under on the public leaderboard. Because it is visible to other players, please don't use your real name or any personal information. You can set, change, or skip it at any time in Settings → Leaderboard name.
- Your daily score and the moves of that run — submitted so the score can be ranked and verified fairly (the moves let the server re-check that a score is genuine). This is gameplay data only.
This information is stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and is encrypted in transit.
3. Information collected automatically
The App includes third-party software development kits (SDKs) provided by Google that automatically collect limited technical data for advertising, analytics, and stability:
- Google AdMob (advertising) — the Advertising ID, IP address, coarse device information, and ad interaction data, used to serve and measure ads. This data is encrypted in transit. Learn more
- Firebase Analytics — pseudonymous app-instance identifiers and aggregate usage events (e.g. games started, screens viewed), used to understand how the App is used. Learn more
- Firebase Crashlytics — crash logs and diagnostic data (device model, OS version, app state at the time of a crash), used to find and fix bugs. Learn more
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — used only to send daily challenge reminders and "results are in" notifications. You can turn these off in your device's notification settings.
4. How we use this information
- To run the optional daily tournament and rank scores on the global leaderboard.
- To show ads, which keep the App free.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the App is used and improve it.
- To keep the App stable and fix crashes.
- To send the daily challenge notifications you can opt out of at any time.
We do not sell your personal information. App-interaction, crash, and diagnostic data are not shared with third parties beyond Google acting as our service provider; the Advertising ID is used by Google for advertising and analytics as described above.
5. Advertising and your choices
- In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland, the App shows a consent dialog (Google User Messaging Platform) before serving personalized ads. You can decline personalized ads and will see non-personalized ads instead. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy options.
- You can reset or delete your Android Advertising ID at any time in your device settings: Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- You can opt out of personalized ads in your Google settings: adssettings.google.com.
6. Children
The App is a general-audience puzzle game intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will help address it.
7. Permissions used by the App
- Internet / network state — required for the optional daily tournament, to load advertisements, and to send analytics and crash reports.
- Vibration — used for haptic feedback during gameplay.
- Notifications — used to send optional daily challenge reminders.
The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, or files.
8. Data retention, deletion and security
Data collected by the SDKs above is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS/TLS). Your leaderboard account is anonymous and pseudonymous; uninstalling the App stops any further collection, and locally stored game data is removed when you uninstall.
To request deletion of your leaderboard entries and the data tied to your anonymous account, email us at hello@kirsulab.com. Data collected by Google AdMob and Google Firebase is otherwise retained and secured according to Google's policies linked above.
9. International transfers
Google may process the data described above on servers located outside your country, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
